Chicken Wing in Soy Sauce

This dish is easy and convenient to cook by using a smaller amount of soy sauce but delivering a rich flavor and colour.

Step 1
Flatten the garlic with knife.

Step 2
Bring a pot of water to boil. Add chicken wings and blanch for 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 3
Mix together light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, Chinese cooking wine, water and brown sugar.

Step 4
In a pan, add some oil on medium heat.Add ginger, garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Step 5
Add chicken wings and stir-fry for 2 minutes. Add the sauce, star anise and mix well.

Step 6
Cover the lid, reduce to medium low heat and cook until the sauce is thickened. Ready to serve.
