It is good to share a warm hot pot with family during midnight. The mashed daikon gives an extra sweetness to the soup.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Peel and grate the daikon. Rinse the mizuna and baby Chinese cabbage. Cut the onion into pieces. Dice the Tofu. Rinse the Shimeji mushroom and remove the stems.

Step 2
Bring a pot of water to boil. Add bonito and kombu powder, mirin, Japanese cooking wine, salt and bring to boil.

Step 3
Add grated daikon and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 4
Add onion, baby Chinese cabbage, tofu, Shimeji mushroom, pork belly and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 5
Add mizuna and cook for 1 minute. Ready to serve.
