Step 1
Wash the shrimp and cut off the shrimp silk. Use a toothpick to remove the intestines on the back. After soaking up the water, pour a thin layer of cornstarch.

Step 2
Heat the wok over medium heat and add oil. Fry the prawns in a half-fry method until golden brown. Serve on a plate and save 2 tablespoons of prawn oil for later use.

Step 3
Add tomato sauce, light soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, fish sauce, water, pepper and sugar in a small bowl to make a sauce.

Step 4
