Braised Beef Brisket with Guinness

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Small dice the onion and slice the garlic

Step 2
Cut potato and carrot into medium sizes

Step 3
Cut the brisket into medium size

Step 4
In a pot, add oil on a medium high heat, slightly sear the brisket until golden brown

Step 5
Remove from the pot and set aside

Step 6
In the same pot, sauté the garlic and onion until fragrant about 5 minutes

Step 7
Add the tomato paste and cook for about 1-2 minutes then add the beer, beef stock and water

Step 8
Add the rest of the seasoning and mix together

Step 9
Add the brisket back to the pot, bring it to boil, add the bay leaves, and lower the heat to simmer

Step 10
Cook for about an hour to hour and a half, skim out the excess fat and discard

Step 11
dd the carrot and potatoes and continuous cook until the vegetable is soft about another 30 minutes and beef are tender
