Italian Mushrooms Ravioli

Ravioli is a traditional Italian dish. Because there is no water content in the wrappers, the texture is more chewy. People say that Marco Polo brought dumplings to China. Using mushrooms as the main stuffing ingredients gives this home style Italian dish a warm and wonderful flavor.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Combine the flour with egg to form a dough.

Step 2
Finely chop the mushroom, garlic and onion. Squeeze the juice of lemon

Step 3
In a pan, heat up olive oil, add mushroom with salt and ground black pepper to saute for 2-3 minutes until soften

Step 4
Add minced garlic, saute for 1-2 minutes, add half the lemon juice. Turn off the heat and allow to cool

Step 5
Flatten the dough to make wrappers. Then cut into 15cm wide rectangular pieces.

Step 6
Brush the edges of the wrappers with egg wash.

Step 7
Place the stuffing in the middle of the wrappers, about a spoonfu

Step 8
Seal the dumplings

Step 9
Bring a pot of water to boil, add dumplings to cook for 2-3 minutes

Step 10
In a pan, roast some pine nuts until golden

Step 11
In a pan, add butter to brown, add bay leaves and onions to saute quickly, add the remaining lemon juice

Step 12
Transfer the dumplings to plate. Drizzle with lemon butter sauce. Sprinkle with pine nuts to serve
