Cherry Clafouti
Recipe Details
Clafouti is a traditional French dessert. Almost all French families can make it. It is more milky then muffin and chewier than pudding. Traditionally, Clafouti is made with the fruit cherries. Seeds are kept because cherry seeds release almond flavor in baking and prevent water loss from the flesh. Clafouti tastes amazing after cold storage!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Rinse the cherries, dry out water on surface and remove the stalks and seeds

Step 2
Smear unsalted butter evenly on a 6-inch pie tray and put the cherries in regular pattern

Step 3
Mix eggs and honey well. Then add milk, whipping cream, vanilla extract and salt. Whip it and mix well.

Step 4
Add cake flour to the mixture and mix well

Step 5
Pour the mixture carefully to the pie tray from the edge. Cherries should stay at their original position and not be affected by the flush of pour so that they distribute in the pie evenly.

Step 6
Put the pie tray into 180℃ pre-heated oven for 40 minutes until pie surface turns golden. Take it out and powder some sugar for garnish and done
