Cure Cold Hands and Feet! Dispel Cold and Promote Blood Circulation Ginger Brown Sugar Tea By Swank Cheuk
I went to the UK earlier. Because of the time difference and the weather that changes like four seasons in a single day, I felt chilled and physically weak! The next day, I felt dead tired all day long.
I had originally brought a few packs of brown sugar ginger tea over as souvenirs for relatives and friends. Later, one pack was left, so during my ten-plus days in the UK, I relied entirely on a cup of brown sugar ginger tea to save me, helping me stay warm and refreshed! I slowly discovered that upon waking up in the morning, the situation of cold hands and feet and listlessness no longer occurred.

I remember my father's Chinese medicine books once mentioned that raw ginger can warm the body and promote blood circulation, activate the functions of all internal organs, dispel wind, invigorate blood, and so on! And brown sugar has the functions of replenishing the "middle" and boosting "Qi", strengthening the spleen and warming the stomach, moving blood, and dispersing cold! Perhaps because both are combined, the efficacy is doubled. I felt that not only was my complexion less pale, but my skin tone also became even, the dull yellowish tone was completely gone, and even my freckles faded slightly!
After returning to Hong Kong, I decided to make homemade raw ginger brown sugar. I add one teaspoon to a small cup of boiled water and drink it with breakfast in the mornings when I have time. Making it myself is, firstly, fresh; secondly, the ratio of sugar and ginger can be adjusted by myself; and thirdly, eating it with the fiber feels healthier! I have been eating it for about a month, and I feel my complexion is rosy and my physical functions have improved a lot. Everyone might as well give it a try! But please note that if you have symptoms such as fever, sore throat, or dry cough, you should stop taking it.

Method:
Wash and peel old ginger, add your preferred amount of brown sugar powder, and put into a blender to blend until it becomes a paste or granules. Pour the blended ginger juice and brown sugar into a sealed jar for storage.
It is suggested to blend enough for two to three weeks' consumption each time, and put it in the refrigerator for convenient use when needed!
*Small Tips: Besides drinking it in the morning, it can also be used to cook glutinous rice balls (Tangyuan), sweet potato soup, etc. Also, the remaining ginger skins still have a wind-dispelling effect and can be utilized to avoid waste. Boil a large bowl of hot water with ginger skins for a few minutes, strain the residue, and wait for it to become warm. After washing your hair, rinse your head with the ginger skin water and massage for a while; it helps with headaches caused by exposure to cold.
