Grilled Flank Steak with Chimichurri Sauce

Steak Marinade
Chimichurri Sauce
Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
For the Flank steak, mix all the ingredients of the marinade in a big shallow dish and place the flank steak in. Marinade for at least 1 up to 4 hours.

Step 2
Chop all the herbs, garlic and shallot finely. Mix together with lemon zest and juice, vinegar and olive oil. Mix well. Season to taste with salt, black pepper and sugar. Set aside.

Step 3
Take the flank steak out of the marinade and pat dry with paper towel. Heat up a grill pan or frying pan over high heat. Add a bit of oil into the pan and place flank steak in. After 1 minute of high heat grilling, turn the heat down to medium. Continue to grill for another 2 minutes.

Step 4
Flip and grill the other side for 2 more minutes.

Step 5
Take the steak out of the pan and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Slice thinly at a diagonal. Place on serving plate and spoon over chimichurri sauce.

Step 6
Optional: Serve with roasted potatoes and other vegetables.
