Dark Chocolate Banana Bread

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Butter a loaf tin or spray it with nonstick baking spray.

Step 2
Peel the bananas and mash them in a large bowl with a fork. Mix in melted butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Stir until combine.

Step 3
Sift the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Stir in the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients with a spatula until just combined.

Step 4
Stir in chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.

Step 5
Pour batter into the prepared loaf tin and bake for 20-30 minutes. Insert a toothpick in the centre of the cake to test if the cake is done. Cool in pan for 10-15 minutes before turning the cake out onto a cooling rack.

Step 6
Serve warm or at room temperature

Tip: This banana bread can keep up to 4 days at room temperature in an airtight container.
