Three-cup Beef Rib

If you find Three-cup Chicken too boring, you may replace chicken with beef ribs instead. Equally delightful!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Rinse and chop the beef ribs. Slice the red chili pepper and flatten the garlic with a knife.

Step 2
Bring a pot of water to boil. Add beef ribs and blanch for 3 minutes. Drain and pat dry with kitchen paper.

Step 3
In a pot, add sesame oil and ginger. Cook the ginger until fragrant on medium low heat.

Step 4
Increase to medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add beef ribs, sugar and mix well.

Step 5
Add light soy sauce and mix well. Add rice wine, cover the lid and cook for 10 minutes on medium low heat or until the sauce is reduced.

Step 6
Add red chili pepper, basil and mix well. Place into a lunchbox and ready to serve.
