Orange and Earl Grey Tiramisu

Twist the traditional tiramisu a bit! This Earl Grey Tiramisu is very rich in Earl Grey flavor. Orange zest and whiskey gives a more complicated flavor to it, too.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Brew 2 Earl Grey tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags, add 45ml whipping cream, 1 tsp caster sugar, mix well and set aside.

Step 2
Whip the whipping cream until stiff peaks and set aside.

Step 3
Beat the mascarpone cheese until soft and smooth. Add caster sugar and mix well.

Step 4
Mix the remaining Earl Grey tea leaves with 1/2 tbsp hot water so that the tea leaves are slightly wet. Add into the cheese mixture and mix well.

Step 5
Add whipping cream, orange zest, whiskey and mix well. Transfer to a piping bag.

Step 6
Soak the lady finger in the Earl Grey tea for 1-2 seconds. Pipe a layer of Earl Grey cream cheese in the dessert cup. Layer lady fingers and pipe another layer of Earl Grey cream. Repeat this step until the dessert cup is filled.

Step 7
Refrigerate for 2 hours. Sprinkle with cocoa powder for garnish. Ready to serve.
