Japanese Black Sesame Vegetables Rice Balls

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Rinse Japanese rice and cook with 260mL water. Let cool after done.

Step 2
Soak the mushroom for 1 hour and dice.

Step 3
Rinse the spinach and julienne the leaves. Blanch, cool down in water and drain.

Step 4
Cut the nori into slices. Rinse and dice the burdock and carrot. Heat a pan with some oil. Sauté the mushroom, burdock, carrot and black sesame. Season with some salt.

Step 5
Mix together the rice, sesame oil, spinach and vegetable mixture.

Step 6
Roll the rice mixture into balls.

Step 7
Wrap with nori slices and ready to serve.
