Seared Lotus Root Patties

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Rinse and peel the lotus root. Grind half of the lotus root and thin slice the other half.

Step 2
Soak the mushroom for half an hour and dice. Chop the cilantro, green onion and dried shrimps.

Step 3
Add soy sauce, ground white pepper, rice wine, water and corn starch to minced lean pork. Mix until smooth.

Step 4
Add lotus root, mushroom, cilantro, green onion and dried shrimps. Mix well.

Step 5
Place the mixture on lotus root slices.

Step 6
Heat a pan with some oil. Sear the the lotus root patties with meat side down. Then flip. Sear until golden brown on both side and ready to serve.
