Garlic Mussels in White Wine Sauce

Mussels are one of the most versatile and delicious shellfish. This garlic mussels recipe is very easy to make and it is certainly a crowd pleaser during dinner parties.

Chop garlic and shallots

Step 2
Chop cilantro

Step 3
Wash the mussel shells, drain and set aside

Step 4
In a medium size pot, melt the butter on medium heat

Sauté the garlic and shallot until aromatic, about 2 minutes

Step 6
Add chicken broth and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes

Step 7
Turn up the heat and add mussels and white wine. Cover the lid and cook until mussels are all opened, about 2 minutes

Add the chopped cilantro and mix well. Add salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 9
Serve while it is warm and the sauce is delicious with some crusty bread.
