Bean Curd Stick with Hairy Gourd and Fish Soup

Hairy Gourd is a summer vegetable, accompanied with fried fish and smooth dried bean, is a sweet and delicious cream soup.

Slice the pork and marinate with Chinese cooking wine, light soy sauce, corn starch and white pepper for 15 minutes

Step 3
Peel and slice the ginger

Step 4
Soak the dried bean curd stick until soft and cut into section

Step 5
Peel the hairy gourd and cut into pieces

Step 6
Clean and pat dry the fish with kitchen paper

Step 7
In a pan, add some oil on a medium high heat. Add the ginger and cook until fragrant then add the fish and cook until both golden brown on both sides

Add about 500mL water and bring it to boil

Step 9
In a large pot, add about 1L water and bring it to boil. Add the fish and the broth

Add the hairy gourd and cook it for 30 minutes on medium heat

Step 11
Add the bean curd stick and the sliced pork. Cook for another 15 minutes

Ready to serve
