Peel the sweet potato. Cut it into small pieces

Steam the sweet potato until soft and fully cooked, about 8 minutes

In a mixing bowl, mash the sweet potato and set aside to 10 minutes

Gradually add the sticky rice powder into the sweet potato mash

Take a portion of the sweet potato dough and roll into a log about the size of a coin

Cut into small 1 inch size pieces

Flatten with your hands

Next, add a spoonful of red bean paste OR sesame paste in the middle of the dough

Seal carefully and form into the shape of a patty

Add sweet potato cakes and pan fry untill both side are golden
