Black Sesame Roll

This is a very common dessert in Chinese restaurants. It is also called “Camera Roll” in Hong Kong because of the look. A little roll full of sesame aroma and is easy to make. Let’s try it now!

Step 1
Add together the sugar, rice flour, water chestnut flour, black sesame powder and water.

Step 2
Use the hand blender and blend the mixture until smooth.

Step 3
Slightly coat the tray with cooking spray.

Step 4
Pour a thin layer of the black sesame mixture about 0.3cm thick.

Step 5
Steam the black sesame mixture for 3 minutes.

Step 6
Use the spatula to scrap off the side.

Step 7
Remove from the tray and roll it up, trim off the ends and cut the roll in half.

Step 8
Ready to serve.
