Strawberry Daifuku

Daifuku, which looks like a larger mochi, consists of a round glutinous rice stuffed with sweet filling. There is a whole flesh strawberry in each Strawberry Daifuku. With chewy and juicy texture as well as the cutie look, it becomes a popular dessert among Yuppies.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Mix well glutinous rice, cornstarch and sugar in a bowl

Step 2
Add water slowly into the bowl and stir them by chopsticks

Step 3
Add corn oil and mix well

Step 4
Put the mixture in plate and steam it for 15 to 20 minutes.Put the mixture in plate and steam it for 15 to 20 minutes. Steaming should be started with cold water instead of boiling water.

Step 5
When it finished, Take the plate out, stir quick to make it sticky and skin-like.

Step 6
Remove stalks of strawberries and absorb all water by kitchen paper.Take and flatten a piece of bean paste, put a strawberry at the center and wrap it.

Step 7
Take a piece of crust and wrap the bean paste strawberry from top to bottom. Ready to serve.
